Chu Wai Tak (Anita Mui) is a timid and shy office lady who is often ignored by her co-workers. She has a secret talent in singing but is a nervous wreck when singing in front of others, to the point of not being able to utter a sound. When she found herself being entered into a singing competition, she looks for help from King (Dayo Wong), the company’s lazy office assistant who is very confident of his singing skills and even calls himself the “King of K Songs”. King agrees to help only for selfish benefits but found that Chu’s level of timidness is even worse than he thought.公司女白领朱维德(梅艷芳)为人胆小怕事，每日最大的人生目标就是节省那一角几毛。这样的人在公司 的人缘可说是糟糕透顶。与维德正好相反的是公司的办公室助理阿 King(黄子华)，他自信心爆炸，对 自己的演唱水平十分满意，自称“K 歌之王”。一次，维德遭到同事们恶整，莫名其妙的竟然在一个歌 唱比赛中进入了决赛。但是胆小的她天生便不敢再众人面前献唱，在人前唱歌她会异常紧张，以至喉咙 肌肉抽搐不能发声。为了不要在决赛中出丑，维德找到了阿 King，希望他能帮助自己解决问题。维德 答应了给阿 King 好处，他才愿意帮忙，然而，她胆小的程度却远远超出了阿 King 的想象。
