Cheburashka, a little-eared pet, finds himself in a small seaside town due to bad weather, right in the possession of Gennady Petrovich, a lonely elderly gardener who does not like visitors. The uninvited guest has a chance to melt the old man's heart with his openness, but only if he does not fall into the hands of the treacherous owner of the chocolate factory, whose granddaughter wants to get her hands on Cheburashka at any cost.
