故事延續上集未說的追查部份，女攝影師Jordan Blair被活捉後，男主角Chase在線報下偷偷闖入Lyon將軍的禁地，並錄下他的罪證，正當逃走期間被 Phenotrans的員工George Hancock救了一命，更透路政府想利用 「Afterlife」的程式徹底消滅曾注射Zombrex的人。Chase為了拯救這150萬的生命，於是與女友Sandra、好友Garth、同事Jill 及George 一同前往隔離區中心的醫院大樓，目標摧毀其伺服器以阻止Afterlife 啓動。
