Under The Open Sky (JFF Online)

Imprisoned for 13 years for a murder that he committed, the middle-aged former yakuza is now released from prison. But it is a struggle as he tries to adapt to society and his new-found freedom. He has to find a job and re-learn how to communicate normally, but he is also preoccupied by his quest for look for his mother whom he was separated from as a child. He finds allies in his search for his parent and a place in mainstream society, but the process is not seamless or smooth.
