紐約女警探凱麗斯特（弗勞倫希婭•洛加諾 Florencia Lozano 飾）18歲那年曾遭遇一場難以忘懷的慘劇，在她生日當天，她的父親（本尼•尼維斯 Benny Nieves 飾）被蒙面殺手當街殺害，而這一切就在凱麗斯特眼前發生。凶手離開前，將一張寫有宗教語句的卡片交到這個驚恐的女孩手裡。在此後的13年裡，凱麗斯特時時不忘抓到凶手，替父親報仇。某晚，一名路人被兩個蒙面客殘忍殺害，凱麗斯特從作案手法和現場留下的卡片看出這兩個人正是當年殺害父親的凶手。沉寂多年的悲憤重新復甦，她不顧上級的命令執意展開調查。在調查過程中，她漸漸得知父親當年遇害背後的真相，與此同時，她不可避免地和其中一名凶手墜入情網……
