警員阿海（劉青雲飾）事業上精明能幹，但與妻子（李若彤飾）的關係十分惡劣，妻子更懷上了別人的孩子，婚姻瀕臨破裂。阿海在與歹徒搏鬥的時候腦部中槍，自此失去了味覺。妻子全力照顧，兩人的關係也開始轉好。沒想到該歹徒逃脫成功，並綁架了阿海的妻子要挾阿海出現，在槍林彈雨中與歹徒時，阿海才發現自己一生中最愛的人還是自己的妻子。歹徒挾持著妻子，並告訴阿海房間內已充滿了煤氣，只要阿海開槍便會爆炸，事實上阿海已經失去了味覺……
