不愧是攝影師出身，這質感真好啊，影像上的特點應該是直接沿襲其攝影作品，又用精巧的電影語言來呈現，閃回結構是多種情緒的表達方式，還溫柔又細膩地捕捉到了角色的幾個動情瞬間。獨特亮眼的處女作。

遣散費全部用來買酒，躺在床上睡得如同母豬。無聊就把辣椒麵撒到父親嘴裡，餓了就找兩個幹麵包片夾果醬。在棚屋裡睡了一宿，路上遇見他們形如陌路。他們不像父母，我更像他們的租客。從墓地裡穿行，我不是忘了回家的路。只是當磁帶被扯開，拼圖被弄丟，蝸牛煙花退場，自釀酒飛滿蚊蠅，記憶裡總有溫柔。

底層人的生活，拍得很寫實。貧窮自有其原因，根源還是懶惰，在於對生活缺乏熱情，得過且過。窮人家庭中，其實更冷漠，缺乏溫暖。歐洲的福利制度，加重了此種趨勢。

和想象的不太一樣家庭影像其實是通過移動影像重建的反而淡化了導演本人作為家庭一員的存在留下的就是4:3畫幅和不時insert shot的動物和昆蟲幾乎是放棄敘事結構的開頭花了三十分鐘講一件小事後面就只有零星片段了一邊紀實一邊私人挺考驗觀眾。同時也提醒我就算在英國待了一年對英國社會的底層依然那麼陌生啊。
